Bowls - A sport for all ages
New members welcome with or without any bowls experience.
We are based in Shepperton, Middlesex (see Location, in Information menu)
We are an enthusiastic and totally inclusive lawn bowls club. Some of us just like to play friendly matches with local clubs while others are very competitive, competing from County to National level. If you are "new" to bowls then don't worry, we have coaches that will help you learn for free.... when you feel confident you can join in with our practice sessions on a Monday mornings, Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons.
We provide each beginner with equipment, free membership and coaching for 4 weeks. If you enjoy the experience and want to continue with the game, you can apply to become full members paying pro rata subscription for the remainder of the season which includes associate membership for the non-playing partners of full members.
Our season runs from April to September, like all outdoor lawn bowls clubs in the UK. In addition to playing bowls, members are welcome to join us at our sociable club nights. These are held every Tuesday evening when good use is made of our own clubhouse and bar which form the back-drop to a programme of entertainments.
But it is not just bowls, we have a croquet lawn, plus weekly bridge club, canasta & cribbage from September to March, so plenty of social activities to join in and make friends.
